Mugdock Makkers Arts and Crafts Gallery
Situated in the Courtyard at Mugdock Country Park, Milngavie, G62 8EL
Mugdock Makkers is a collective of Artists and Crafts People. They all live and work in the central belt of Scotland and display and sell their work through the Gallery as well as within their own practices. All the work is handmade and unique, gathred together under one roof and open every day, including Sundays. In the summer the opening hours are 11am until 5pm and in the winter (once the clocks have gone back) 11am to 4pm. There is original, framed and unframed artwork, prints, photography, ceramics, wood, jewellery, textiles and glass, at prices to suit every pocket. One of the great benefits of a collective like the Makkers is that the artists have control of their own work and can bring the best of it to public display.
Mugdock Country Park is a leisure facility with rural walks, lots of activities throughout the year, a theatre, other retail outlets (including a cycle hire and sales shop) and a couple of cafes in the Courtyard - definitely worth a visit - G62 8EL in the Sat Nav or go here

. Makkers take a duty in the Gallery approximately once a month as part of their commitment and occasionally
at the weekends demonstrate their craft for visitors to show how their work is created.
